"Not everything can be fixed," Tikki agreed, "But if you take away the tools they need to fix some things, then none of them will be."

Sometimes sacrifices were necessary for the greater good. It was a perspective that came with being as old as she was, with being something other than human. She would never want to leave someone behind, to lose them for good, but she knew that sometimes you had to lose one thing or one person to save thousands of others.
